The awarding of the winners of the 13th International Children's Media Festival "Dytiatko" was held today, September 9, during the closing ceremony of the festival.

The closing ceremony was attended by Chairman of the Kharkiv Regional Council Tetiana Yehorova-Lutsenko, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Council Valeriia Muraieva, Deputies of the Regional Council, representatives of the regional state administration and the city executive committee.

As Tetiana Yehorova-Lutsenko noted, once again in early autumn, the “Dytiatko” Festival brought together talented creative young people from different parts of Ukraine and around the world in one fun and friendly family.

"Over the years of its existence, the “Dytiatko” Festival has brought together experienced craftsmen and talented fans of screen creativity from more than 100 countries around the world. Every year, the festival expands the geography of participants and receives new nominations.

I would like to express my gratitude to Serhii Chernov, on whose initiative the “Dytiatko” Festival was founded.

In 2021, almost 1.5 thousand works from more than 1,200 authors from 96 countries were submitted to the festival. Therefore, it is difficult to imagine what kind of work the organizers and a respected jury had to do to determine the best.

But I am convinced that every participant of the festival will take home from Kharkiv region the warmest memories, a piece of magical atmosphere that inspires you to create again and again," Tetiana Yehorova-Lutsenko said.

This year, 1,245 authors from 96 countries submitted 1,450 entries to participate in the festival. 156 works from 40 countries were presented at the competition screenings.

"At the beginning of our festival, I said that a lot of people worked hard to make this festival not only a competition, but also a holiday for you. And it is very pleasant that the holiday really took place. I do not know who will receive the award now, but for everyone who put their soul, their love, their creativity, your applause and your gratitude into this festival is the best reward.

I really hope that we will meet again and again. And even if you don't choose a life path related to the media, I am sure that this festival will always remain in your heart," Valeriia Muraieva said, addressing the festival participants.

Ukraine is represented by 14 regions, including the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the Donetsk region. In total, works are presented in 17 categories, the largest number - 30 works - in the category "Best Short Film for children". The XIII International Children's Media Festival "Dytiatko" was held from 6 to 9 September. Within the framework of the festival, a number of master classes, creative activities and thematic meetings were held for participants.

The jury of the 13th  International Children's Media Festival "Dytiatko" consists of nine people, three of them representing Canada, Mauritius and Iceland. The jury is headed by the chairman of the state agency of Ukraine for cinema Marina Kuderchuk.
